ChatNow is a free, real-time chat service for adults aged 18 and over, funded by advertising and by ChatNow Premium, an optional paid add-on. Every visitor passes an independent age check, and human moderators are present in the rooms every day.

Our representative under Article 27 of the UK GDPR is DataRep, 107-111 Fleet Street, London EC4A 2AB, United Kingdom. You, and the Information Commissioner, may raise any data protection matter with the representative instead of, or as well as, with us.

3. Accountable person

The individual accountable for our illegal-content, reporting and complaints duties (measure ICU A2 of Ofcom's Illegal Content Codes of Practice) is Gérald A., Head of Trust & Safety — safety@chatnow.fr. 4. Regulators

Online safety: ChatNow is a regulated user-to-user service under Part 3 of the Online Safety Act 2023, supervised by Ofcom. Ofcom does not approve or certify individual services. Data protection: the Information Commissioner's Office (0303 123 1113).

"Working days" excludes weekends and bank holidays in England and Wales. The web contact form works without an account. Post (slower than email): Skyline Online LLC, 1209 Mountain Road Place NE, Ste N, Albuquerque, NM 87110, USA. We never ask for your password.

6. Requests from authorities

Police, the National Crime Agency, courts, Ofcom and the ICO should email legal@chatnow.fr from an official domain, stating:

the authority, the officer's name and role, and a direct contact;
the legal basis, with the instrument attached, and the case reference;
the identifiers held (username, date and time with time zone) and the data sought.

Emergency (imminent risk of death or serious harm): email safety@chatnow.fr, subject "EMERGENCY", copying legal@chatnow.fr; this route is staffed 24 hours a day. We preserve specified data for 90 days on request, renewable once. Guest data is deleted 24 hours after the guest leaves; see the retention table. Private parties need a court order that binds us.

7. Reporting a security flaw

Email security@chatnow.fr with the affected feature, steps to reproduce and the impact. Test only with your own accounts. We will not pursue good-faith research that respects other users' data. There is no paid bug bounty. Our disclosure file is at /.well-known/security.txt.

8. Accessibility

We build ChatNow to WCAG 2.2 level AA. If something blocks you or you need a document in another format, email contact@chatnow.fr (subject "Accessibility"): we make reasonable adjustments free of charge and reply within 5 working days.
